| Phenotype of leopard Geckos ( External appearance) There are three strains of albinos ( Tremper, Bell and Rainwater). These geckos can not produce black pigment due to the incomplete synthesis of melanin or related compounds. They have reddish eyes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Raptor (Ruby eye, Albino, patternless, Tremper line, orange). Red eyes, yellow orange in color. Some may have orange carrot tail and or carrot head. They can be classified with snake eyes or pure red eyes and or a combination of both. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blazing Blizzard Double recessive trait. White in color with reddish eyes. Also known as the albino blizzard. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunglow (Hybino) Deep vivid orange. Created by combining a super - hypo, carrot tail and albino and together. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Normal ( wild type) cream to tan color, dark tail ring bands, dark body spots and head spotting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jungle Aberrant pattern, Asymmetrical, and irregular dark body blotches or marbling. It has a non ringed tail. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tangerine This gecko has orange pigment anterior to the tail base. Also known as Baldy - ( patternless head), hypo- ( few dark spots on the body) , super hypo (lacking black body spots). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diablo Blanco Pure white with ruby red eyes. They can also have snake eyes. Developed out of Raptor line and bred to a blazing blizzard. This is the first true Blazing Blizzard. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mack Super Snow Co- dominant trait. White skin with reduced spotting. This morph has solid black eyes. When combined with certain genes they will partially express that trait. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lavender The purple can be combined with any color. As adults the shade is on the body or tail. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enigma - Dominant trait. Red eye morph Blizzard - This is a patternless mutation. Eyes are black to blue-black, and can have a white, yellow or brownish body color. |
